    Regulatory Compliance Representative Manager

    REGULATORY COMPLIANCE REPRESENTATIVE

    UMC is an industry leader in the importing and distribution of specialty colorants, high-purity source materials for semiconductor fabrication, additives for clean water, and ingredients for cosmetic and food/beverage applications.

    UMC is committed to 100% compliance with domestic and global health, safety, environmental, and social responsibility standards.

    UMC is currently seeking a Regulatory Compliance Representative to assist the Department Manager in fulfilling the following responsibilities:

    • Handling regulatory compliance inquiries from customers and maintaining up-to-date documentation.
    • Regulatory reporting, submittals, and recordkeeping requirements.
    • Internal auditing, gap analysis, and self-assessments.
    • Brainstorming and project management in support of company initiatives and goals.

    Long-term role will include maintaining evergreen SDS/label database and ensure overall preparedness involving health, safety, and environmental regulations affecting UMC.

    Successful candidate must possess at minimum a BS in Engineering, Chemistry, or Environmental Science. 1 – 3 years professional experience preferred but not required.

    Account Sales Specialists, Colorants Business Unit

    Position: Account Sales Specialists, Colorants Business Unit – Mid West Area and New Jersey Area

    Business Unit Description: UMC is the industry leader in special effects pigments. UMC offers customers a complete line of organic, daylight fluorescent, phosphorescent, thermochromic, photochromic, UV security and pearlescent pigments.

    Responsibilities:

    • As an Account Sales Specialist for United Mineral & Chemical, Corp., you will be responsible for all corporate accounts assigned in a geographic area.
    • Grow profitably United Mineral & Chemical, Corp. market share at existing corporate accounts using consultative selling process.
    • Enhance United Mineral & Chemical, Corp. position within each corporate account using consultative, value selling at all levels within the account
    • Create and execute on short, medium, and long-term customer growth strategies
    • Negotiate pricing, as well as maintain and coordinate customer quotations
    • Responsible for coordinating at all levels within UMC including senior leadership, local sales, purchasing and operations to ensure overall customer satisfaction
    • Attend industry trade shows.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree, Concentration in business or chemistry is a plus or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 5 years field sales experience
    • Wide knowledge and sales experience in the ink, plastic, or coatings industries.
    • A strong track record of driving growth by developing and executing strategic initiatives within a customer base.
    • Strong presentational skills and experience in making “formal presentations” to groups at all levels within an organization.
    • Assist in sales forecasts, ability to create detailed customer visit reports and follow up on previous visits and communications.
    • Strong skills in team building, coaching, and collaboration with all levels of the organization
    • High level of decision-making ability, balancing customer needs, and company objectives
    • Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to handle diverse and significant objectives
    • Confident in learning, understanding, and using a consultative, value selling approach
    • Knowledge of and relationships with key suppliers.
    • Travel throughout the mid-west is required (25 to 40% of the time).
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM.

    One candidate is based remotely in the mid-west and will have responsibility to develop new opportunities while maintaining existing sales.     Position: Salesperson, Additives Business Unit

    Business Unit Description: UMC is a key leader in CASE and construction industries. UMC offers customers a broad portfolio of additives such as acrylic latex resins, epoxy, alkyds, fumed silica, silicone & silanes, lightweighting aggregates and fillers, matting agents, redispersible powders, and admixtures into cementitious applications.

    Responsibilities:

    • As an Additives Salesperson for United Mineral & Chemical, Corp., you will be responsible for all accounts assigned in a geographic area

    Work You’ll Do

    As a Marketing Manager, you may work remotely or go in office as needed, while working with a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and colleague-centered team.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Maintain strong communication among all internal and external stakeholders.
    • Coordinate employee meetings and communications for the marketing department.
    • Plan, prepare and deliver presentations on behalf of the marketing team.
    • Conduct research for key marketing campaigns.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to support our website design and content marketing (blog, social media assets, and more).
    • Help bring new ideas for design and content creation to the team using your expertise and eye for great design.
    • Manage and develop design needs such as presentations, signage, and trade show collateral as needed.
    • Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant.
    • Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our brand and our products/services.
    • Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing leads and customers as well as from brand new audiences.
    • Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success.
    • Work alongside company vendors to help distribute and create content that educates our audience and supports our marketing goals.
    • Track, measure and analyze all initiatives to report on marketing ROI.

     

    Qualifications We Seek

    • Experience managing multiple projects and adhering to deadlines.
    • Clear copywriting and editing skills.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Past experience as either an in-house designer or at a marketing agency. (We require work samples to apply for this position.)
    • This person must create assets for our team that are mobile-, tablet-, and desktop-friendly and provide a user experience that fits on all three screens.
    • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite or similar technologies.
    • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
